So today I got my Mavic after waiting since Oct 10th when I ordered it. The first accident of the day was when I was flying it on a path that had trees on both sides, and was trying to get the drone to follow me. Unfortanitly there was a slight wind gust and I was not used to the controlls and it hit a tree branch and fell. Everything was mechanicly fine with the drone just had to replace a prop then I was good to go.

Several hours later I decided to take it out again, but this time it seemed like not all the sensors were working and would not stop going forward like it is supposed to, and ultamilty the drone crashed into the side of my house and fell a good 10 feet. Now the camera is getting no picture. All I see is a black screen. Is there anything I can do to fix this, or is this somthing I am going to have to send back to DJI.....

Take a pic of the camera and take note of the two very thin ribbon cables on it ... i'd wager that one of them has snapped.

Well, to late now... But to learn and test features to know how they react, especially for a new noob-drone-pilot: ALWAYS OPEN SPACE! (hope others read it)

But i also have a feeling, it is the ribbon-cable. Might have a small tear internally. Do a test and record video, then check the footage on your card. If it is all black... Hardware...

Well I can not even take video or a picture. The App does not even let me change between the 2 or start a recording or take a picture. I have a notification that says "Camera Sensor Error" "Hardware Malfunction. Contact DJI support to for repairs."

When I press the button on the bottom right side of the app it will not even open up to see my old pictures of when the camera was working.

That sucks about the crash. But I don't understand new flyers going out and flying in such small areas. Mavic is my first drone as well and I've done 8 flights now . I go out in very open areas no close calls yet and I fly in sport mode half the time.  When you get it back you should try a big open area. Also flying high above everything leaves less chance to run into anything.

Really sorry for the crash, according to the error messages popping up on the APP, I do suggest you to send in for further evaluation then get it fixed by our engineers.
May I know have you sent an e-mail to support.us@dji.com to create a case?
