Today i updated the firmware on my p3 after trying to review my footage my pc says that windows media player cant play due to an unsupported file or codec used to compress the file. In the update does anything happen to the sd card? I recorded in same format as before so im not sure if this is an error on windows or my p3

Just to clarify, what resolution are you filming at? Have you tried a different media player, like VLC player?

It could be a corrupt file too. I had two since I owned my P3S. It was always the first recording on DJI's SD card. It happened twice and it hasn't came back yet.

Search on google for k-Lite mega codec pack, install by default and after you will see on WMP all formats!

First off since you using a windows system I'd be recording in MP4 not MOV. Second do your really have the need to be in 2.7k and not 1080p.  Third, Windows media player is not the way to go. Either change players and/or change to MP4.

You're most likely running into a codec issue. I would recommend trying a different video player to see if the issue persists.

Do not take up space on your hard drive by installing another player, just install a codec pack  and with that you can play almost everything ... .mov, .mp4, .mpg, AVI, .mkv ... including subtitles and much more

Obs: Thanks Bourgeois for clarifying!
