Hi All,

Looking to get a new tablet for my remote and other uses, so my question is does the mini 4 fit or am I better just getting the mini 2. I don't have my mavic yet so after the best advice.

if you end up getting a mavic with a newer style controller the mini 4 won't fit. look for a used mini 2...I found one for $150

Not sure what you mean by newer style controller?  The IPad Mini4 fits just fine in the Mavic's controller that I have.  Several YouTube videos on the subject.

Look at the right airy on the controller. Does it touch the sport slide switch? If it does you have the older style controller. The newer style wont contact the switch. Just that little bit keeps the mini 4 from fitting. I'm sure filing in a notch is an option. My right arm does not contact the sport switch

There has been hardware revisions to the controller already?  anyone got pics?

Guess I must have the "old style" controller, but there hasn't been any discussion around a "new controller" that I know of.  My Mini fits just like in this video:

iPad mini 2 still have the physical orientation lock switch which the new one removed
