Has anyone found that their Mavic is faster backwards than forwards? I am sure I haven't reset any settings.

It keeps surprising me, forwards is a nice slow controllable pace, but movement is very rapid, much faster backwards or side to side.

Not in Sports mode - however back-side feels as fast

Is this just me?

The forward speed is lowered (something like 22mph) in forward when the forward OA (Obstacle Avoidance) sensors are on. If you disable them, it will fly faster in P-mode. The reason it's slowed with OA on is so it has a chance to stop and avoid if something is detected.

That makes great sense

I think it's just worth pointing out. A few times if flying close to things it can be surprising when trying to make small adjustments. I guess that's what tripod is for.

It is quite a large difference in speeds between forward/back
