I just got my Mavic the other day and have been going through the settings in the menus. I have not flown it yet.  Under "HD" and then under "Image Transmission Settings", the channel on mine has "Custom" selected. Should that be the case or should it be "Auto"?  What is yours set to?

No one can say what their current "Image Transmission Settings" is set to on their MC?

Mine is AUTO.

Leave it in auto and it will sort its self out, if you stay getting poor range or interference then select custom and look for a clear channel, in this case your likely in a heavily congested wifi area and may need to manually find a clear channel.

But overall Auto will suite most people, think of it as auto tuning of a radio compared to manual tuning.

Also to get the most range keep it on 720P feed not the 1080p HD Feed.

Yep, AUTO and 720p all the time.  

All you'll have to worry about is stuff to do with your Mavic, now.

Thanks guys!  Mine came set at Custom and I was thinking it should be Auto.  I will change mine to Auto.  I thought the same thing about leaving it at 720p.
