What solution do you have for a loss of signal less than 500m from take off with the P4P? I have recalibrated the IMU. Updated the latest firmware? Is there a glitch in the new app? I need some answers asap.

Your title says you are loosing GPS signal? Or is it RC signal or video feed?

I fly it 500 metres and I loose video and then it says the signal is week. The screen goes blank. Then the return to home cuts in and it comes back. I've had the P3P and the P4 and I've never experienced this before?

In Australia, do you have the option to use 2.4 ghz? I have read that 5 ghz has less range. The RC here in the US does an auto-select, and my checklist has an item to check that prior to flight.

Also, the antennae orientation is different for each frequency range.

Make sure you fly with the 2.4 and not the 5.8 my p4p done the same until I set it to 2.4

Is there instructions on changing it to 2.4ghz?

Ok, loosing GPS signal is different, so you are losing video feed and RC feed, have you flown it with the old FW or just the latest FW?

Touch the HD icon on the screen
You also have to orient the antennas correctly for optimum range.

My P4Pro does the same just around 1km. First it started with the live view going and then with the remote. Tried in several locations with in line sight and 2.4 is worse than 5.8 I even get signal lost within 30 meters away. So i did the same flight after landing the P4P with my P3Pro and has no issues. Waiting for the updates to see if this will be addressed but for now the 7km range is just a myth am afraid.

Did you fly it in other open locations and adjust the antennas to the optimal range during the flight?
Please fly it farther firstly then higher.

Yes the firmware is up to date. I also had to downgrade and re-update in order to get the latest RC firmware as it would not do it.
Use the Samsung Tab S that i also use on the P3P with no issues.
Thanks for the advise i have a flight soon and hope it doesnt happen but will check if it does.

My first flight I did 16200' at 350' alt and no connection loss.

I'm using a iPad 2. I have no problems with the Phantom 4? Just the Phantom 4 Pro? It's becoming frustrating

You have the same situation for 2.4G and 5.8G, right?
Please go to HD--Image Transmission Setting on DJI GO, you can change the work frequency, and check the interference around when the signal is weak.

I had the same problem with my P3P, solution was one of these parabolic reflectors you just slide on to the antennas, extended a lossless signal to 3000m+
Btw, i tested both my P3P and P3A in the same area, open fields, bare any houses, P3A was much better.

Is it convenient for you to connect another P4P remote to aircraft and check the performance?

i got the same problem..
Phantom 4 pro plus
500 meters and 70 meter high
signal lost and never came back on RTH push..
AC came back on the spot.. but no screen on the way back home
this is my fourth Phantom, never had this before.
Use 2.4 auto
antennes pointed to the AC... at the way it must be.

will try another flight because i also got an error 2002 on the MOV file.. playing it with Quicktime.
