I noticed that I got a range boost from using my smaller iPhone on the controller than my iPad (regular size). I understood the "cone of silence" with the antennas and had them perpendicular to the drone. I flew past my regular "lost signal" location (1600ft) in my neighborhood where the drone would usually come back home. Using the Litchi app (for VR goggles) for the first time that only runs on my iPhone. I flew it over 4000ft, and the receiver signal strength was at 75%. I become scared as it was the furthest I have ever flown my drone in my dense California neighborhood and promptly flew it back home (under visual observation at 395 ft AGL, it was a minuscule dark speck against the white clouds.) Has anybody else noticed a range boost using a small smartphone over a large metal iPad connected to the controller? or was it the Litchi app?

I've not noticed this but that's very interesting.
