Not that it really makes a lot of difference, but does anyone know how DJI arrived at the advertised max altitude for the Std. of 6000 m? That's 6 times the maximum range of the remote controller, and well up into FAA controlled airspace. Just wondering.........

Yes, as that's a safe operating altitude above sea level. Ha
Not your flying height, from take off position. ;-)

No it's not a height you can fly to from anywhere that you will be launching.
It's the maximum altitude above sea level at which the aircraft can still fly.
But as always you would have to launch within 500 metres of that height to be able to get there.
