Hey all,

I made the fatal mistake of removing my prop guards and used the same screws back into the motors and ended up ruining all four of my Phantom 3 Standard motors.  Painful.

I see the 2312A motor isnt available any longer.  Someone pointed me to the E310 2312E motors here: http://store.dji.com/product/e310-motor?from=search but I'm unsure if they're compatible. They dont look the same as the 2312A motor and I cant find any resources on compatibility.

So I have a couple of questions:

Do I need E310 series or E305 series motors?  and also, do I need the 800kv or the 960kv motor?

Everything else on my Phantom 3 is all the OEM parts... no custom batteries, boards or antyhing.. I just want to replace the motors.

As you may know there are two different motors for the P3. The 2312 (960 Kv. old) and the 2312A ( 800 Kv New). As I know the 2312 is discontinued. You can get the 2312A from DJI. If that is not possible, then try on eBay. They have  brand new ones removed from never flown aircraft. You can get them for $15 to $20 each. Be careful to match the new motors to the ones you have now. The new 2312A Is not compatible with the old Center Board.

They dont even sell teh 2312A on DJI's website though... all they have is the 2312E

I asked DJI about the 2312E. They told me that they are not compatible with the P3. Apart from the finish and color, both look the same to me. I'm looking for more technical info on this. If you are looking for 2312A motors, there is no problem finding them
