DJI is in contact with some pro photographer on this matter , it will be solved.

I'm planning to be out flying without access to the internet and I'm very new. Will my DJI GO 4 app insist that I upgrade my firmware when I connect to the drone? I've been running the app at home, disconnected.

Are you talking about the issue that no matter what you choose in video settings, the video gets recorded as D-LOG?

How do we update the controller? I updated the firmware on the craft, but the controller is still behind. The download isn't available on this page:

If you're referring to the + RC, they didn't update it.

I just did a small test flight and didn't see any wind warnings but I did see a new one that may be related.
Something about attitude too large
I also didn't see any gimbal twitching.
And the Phantom flew perfectly

The Phantom never insists that you update firmware.
It may advise that there is newer firmware available but you do not have to update it to fly.

LOL I updated this firmware through DJI assistant (P4P), and now the camera is completely black I get no video at all.  Restarted AC and RC...nothing.  Going to have to roll back unless I'm missing a step somewhere?

Solved it, had to restart the iPad.

How do I update the DJI Go App to version 4.0.1 on my p4p+ controller?  I am connected to wifi but when i go into settings and click on check for update, it says it can't find one but according to the new release there is a new app version.

You can't, we're stuck on that GO4 version until DJI decides to update the firmware for the + RC. Since it's not communicating with the Play Store we can't actually update any apps that are on it.

I tried updating my Phantom 4 Pro to the latest firmware version today and it failed. I have tried numerous times with the same result.  So now I'm stuck, the firmware won't update, and whenever I try to fly the video feed to my controller doesn't work.  It acts as if there is no video feed/signal.  I've tried changing SD cards (as numerous forum posts have suggested) to no avail.  I have the P4P controller with the built in screen (Model GL300E).  Here are screenshots of the firmware update failure:    

Gimbal stability issue resolves the gimbal issue  flipping while flying with the right side against the wind???? Pls answer before i send to repair for nothing

Yes.. before - like many (most) flyers.
I didn't see it in my test flight but it was only a 10 minute flight.
Definitely worth trying the new firmware before sending things back

Touch to focus seems to work the same, and everything is working great on the indoor flight test. It was working great previously so no ill effects from the update. All my settings had changed and I had to put them back in again, I got a surprise when I switched to Ati mode and it didn't change because the multi-mode had changed to the default after the update.

When I selected d-log the image was very bright. What was the issue with d-log again?

OK Update done all went smoothly, My gripe is with the HDMI module i have installed, It gets pretty warm, not sure thats a good sign, but the main problem as I have said before in previous posts is
when you go into the GOAPP 4 and to the HD page and try to disable the HDMI feed !!   it disables your video feed on your Tablet !!  and not the separate HDMI screen. The OSD on / off works fine.
Come on DJI please add this fix to the next firmware update. Oh and try to preview photos or video, not working via the HDMI at all ..
