Hi all,
Ive been frantically trying to find someone to help me out... I can't figure out how to trouble shoot this "battery error" im getting in the DJI Go app, which also throws 4 red lights under my phantom. Heres how it all went down.
- Flew my P3S several times problem free on the current battery.
- Attached prop guards
- One day decided to remove prop guards, used the same screws to re-attach motors thus ruing the motor coils
- Powered it up, 3-4 times not knowing what the issue was, drone wouldnt give me the typical boot up sound.
- Discovered the issue, hated my self and grieved. Then ordered a set of 4 new 2312a motors.
- Researched that it was either the 2312 motor, or the 2312a. Was told 2312a was the one. Looks identical to the motors to be replaced.
- Received motors, removed old ones and soldered on the new ones.
- Go for my first flight and 5 seconds after lift off i get "battery error" and ground it.
- Try again this time fly 100ft up and down to test it. Once i reach 100ft or so i stop and hover and battery error disappears, fly doward, all good till I come to a stop and battery error again
- My assumption at this point is that its related to the load with the props.
- Bring drone in, take off props and spin up the motors. No battery error. Error only happens when flying with prop load.
- Research and figure it may be the battery failing due to the load. maybe fried it from powering up when motors were ruined.
- Buy brand new DJI battery from best buy, charge up to 100% and test.
- Same battery error in DJI Go app
- Opened P3S back up and checked solder connections, all seems to check out.
So now what? How can I trouble shoot this? I feel like I've tested everything I can!
Im terrified that my new drone is bricked. Is there any way to test the ESC board to troubleshoot?
Any help would be so GREATLY appreciated guys.
