Phantom4 is absolutly better ,but phantom3 advanced is so much cheaper, which should I buy???

You really need to reconsider the awesome Phantom 3 Pro... Haha

I love my P3 4k, but would love to get a pro for the ability to add the FPV functionality.

I have an Advanced, and have considered upgrading also, but I always come back with the fact I am super happy with what I have. I mean I have seen 4K video from friends of mine, and I am not a photographer, but some of my video is just as good as any I have seen. I know there are conversations about the 4K coming down the pipe in the near future, but for now unless you have a really good computer you will have trouble editing and processing it or if you really need professional results. Again, I am not an expert, and as much as I would like to have a Phantom 4 or Pro, I don't think I would really benefit from it. I spent some extra money and purchased some extra batteries ,case, Pro filters, etc. instead of upgrading. I can travel 3-miles at any time and although the anti-collision that the 4-series offer would be nice, I have never had an incident or even come close to running into crashing into anything....knock on wood! LOL. I am just saying like someone mentioned above, the Advanced is really pretty cheap and gives you an awful lot for the money. Definitely a step up from the standard with the "Lightbridge" technology....not bashing anyone that has a "Standard", because they are good machines too, they just lack some range compared to the others. And yes, a few more bucks the P3 Pro is a good choice too and you get the 4K. Guess it boils down to how much you want to spend. Have fun deciding.

I would go with the mavic, the portability would be awesome. I have a phantom 3 advanced. Taking it with me anywhere is a pain. Its in a huge case.

I totally know where you are coming from with the case and all! I guess I take comfort in the fact the Advanced is a very proven product, along with the others Phantoms and I wonder if they have all the bugs figured out with the Mavic. Don't get me wrong, the Mavic looks really cool. To me, the Mavic looks a bit more like a toy, I know it is not for sure, but the Phantom series in my opinion just looks a little more professional. Not try to insult anyone with a Mavic here.

Yes, the Mavic is a pocket drone. Much easier to transport.

I'm sure which ever model you choose, will aid in keeping you happy. ;-)
They each have their own personality and abilities.  Certainly the more you spend, the more flight Kit you receive.  Like anything else.

With battery installed the P3Pro tips the scale at 2lb12.5oz and the P4 is 2lb15.7oz  
  
The P3 has a matte finish while the P4 is smooth as.

I will say that I don't know what's next but i'll always have my P3Pro!
