I received a new battery today,   and  charged it up and put it in the Mav, to check it out tonight,  Expecting it to
give me a message,  that the battery would need a update,   like I had on my number two battery when I put it
in after I did the last update,   But  No...  does this seem right?   Anyone now for sure?  Thanks in advance

Maybe the update was already done from the factory? That's the only solution I could imagine, if the firmware was inconsistent than I'm sure it would notify you.

Most likely the battery was updated already in production. You can connect your Mavic using DJI flight assistant 2 software / on the PC /  with the new battery inserted. If this new battery needs an update, it will tell you for sure.
