Is it possible to attach an Wide angle lens to the Mavic to get the same view angle of the Phantom. Years ago I did it successfully to an Aiptek cam.

To my knowledge nothing like that is available to the Mavic. I also don't think it would be possible to make, because the lens would be too big for the gimbal initialization process to work with the addon-lens attached.
And just for the record, the current Mavic lens is also already regarded as a wideangle lens. But, no it is still not as (ultra)wide as those on the cameras of earlier Phantom drones.

The only issue is that, will your wide angle lens work for:

• During gimbal initialisation. (Obstruction, Weight, etc)
• Cuase any reflections, glare, etc.
  

If it works like those after market filters, then you should share what lens you are using. :-)

I don't see why it would not work after initialization. I.e Polarpro filters are attached right before take off, so they clear the initialization. But a fisheye could be used instead of their nd filters
