I have had such great experience with the Phantom 3 Advanced  and the camera is MORE than enough 2.7k

I finally hit a palm tree and its ruined.

Just bought a BRAND NEW Phantom 3 Advanced copter only from BH Photo New York ( Professional Photographers around the world shop there..top notch)


Got it set up updated newest firm ware... and took it for first flight today.


And the Phantom stops at about 3/4 of a mile and I get a message saying MAX RANGE distance met.

I checked the settings... its at 500m , Beginner mode OFF etc etc etc..

I landed, double checked the settings again put in another battery.

Same result It wont fly more than 3/4 of a mile.

I was thinking maybe run back to the last firm ware

First flight  and Im not happy

Any idea what it might be?

Just to clarify

it is NOT a LOSE SIGNAL issue.....

the things just STOPS and refuses to fly farther.....its like a limiter.

Did you say the distance WAS set to 500m?

Maybe I miss read it.

Yes distance is set at max 500m.......any ideas?

500m is 0.3miles so that might be your problem you should disable max distance or increase it!

As iMeMoz suggests, go back to settings and add a Zero -> 5000 or turn it off
