I know this has been covered a lot but here goes again...
Performing the CSC (Combination Stick Command) during flight causes any DJI Phantom or Inspire to crash because CSC shuts off all motors.

I've been told CSC during flight is a "kill switch" in the event of an emergency.
The problem with that philosophy is once the motors of the UAV are shut down, the trajectory of the UAV cannot be altered and anyone or anything
below it can be injured and/or damaged.

DJI, why not alter your firmware so that when CSC is performed while the UAV is airborne, a text and/or verbal warning comes up on the GO app
asking the Pilot In Command if they really want to shut the motors down and if so, CSC may result in total destruction of the UAV ?

Being able to shut down a DJI product's motors in mid-flight is not a good thing and could result in serious injury and/or death to persons
below its trajectory and/or major damage to property.

Because that would negate the purpose which is to immediately shut off the motors in an emergency.

"Being able to shut down a DJI product's motors in mid-flight is not a good thing and could result in serious injury and/or death to persons below its trajectory and/or major damage to property."

But of course that is unlikely to happen, because you as a responsible pilot will not be flying over anything or anyone without them being aware of any potential risks.

If you are at the latest firmware, then you will have read the release notes stating that they have introduced a 3 second delay to the CSC motor cut off while in flight. So you will have to be performing the manoeuvre of rotating continuously clockwise (Or counter depending on CSC chosen) on the axis of the P3 whilst losing height in a corkscrew fashion for three seconds now before the motors cut out.

If you have enough control of the bird to initiate CSC and see a message on the screen, why would you do it?  Why not just land or fly to a safe place?

Instead of a CSC, push the left stick full forward, and fly Up, over the unintended target. ;-)
Or crank it to the left or right, and turn to the side or completely around.
The only problem with that thought, CSC would be used Incase of an impending emergency situation.

We are told, at www.ercha.ca, if we fly behind the flight line, to drop the aircraft in the dirt, destroy the errant heli', opposed to creating an injury or causing a fatality.  This makes sense when flying a 450 - 700 scale model helicopter. Not that a much lighter and less dangerous drone, like a Phantom couldn't hurt someone. But an RC helicopter could kill an innocent bystander.

The problem with the idea that you would use CSC for an in flight emergency situation is that it's a hypothetical situation that is almost certain to never happen.
Your Phantom is hurtling toward the crowd of cute children ....
If you had control, you would climb or turn or stop.
If you don't have control .... CSC won't work either.

CSC is a necessary emergency stop switch for whenever you want to stop the rotating blades in a hurry and that is much more likely to be on the ground than in the air.
You crash into the side of your house and the Phantom falls to the ground angry props spinning and your cute puppy runs toward it.
That's when you need CSC
