I have a Phantom 4. Using DJI Go 4 app. I used to be able to see the video on my iPad after I shot it. I could see and edit the video, then save to the ipad. I shoot in 4K and what transferred was always lower - which was fine. Today I shot and it didn't show up on the ipad. When I tried to import it the screen says is has to be 1080p or 720p. Why isn't it automatically converting it now and showing up on the ipad?
Possibly because the memory space on your iPad is full. And it will never end up as 4K on your iPad, because the real video files are on the SD card in the aircraft.

Thanks for the reply. iPad has plenty of memory. That is not the issue. Totally understand quality won't be the same. We download from the SD card to a PC to capture the 4K. But it used to show up (in reduced resolution) on the iPad too and now it isn't.

Adding to Geebax's response, it may help to increase the size of your video cache too (it may still be set to the default, which I think is 2Gb). That assumes that your iPad has reasonable available capacity internally though. You can also try clearing the cache from time-to-time also, but I'm not sure whether you lose videos under Editor though.
And I'm happy to be corrected with any of this team - just my understanding.
what you see on ipad is the the recording of live feed, not the 4k recording. the 4k recording is on mini sd card aboard the drone- the one you can access either by removing( what i do) or by connecting the drone to pc and transferring videos via usb.
I'm having a similar problem with my phantom 3 standard. I videos will show up on my iPad but photos will not. But if I use my iPhone 6s Plus it works fine. Curious to see if you are able to find a solution as I have not been able to.
