Dear,

I'm a professional drone pilot and fly with Inspire, S1000+ and Mavic.
We use the Mavic mostly for indoor flights.
I have a problem with the flight height indoor when you have no GPS signal available.
The Mavic only wants to fly 2,4m above the surface.
But when you fly in a large hall which is 5m high, you can't go up above 2,4m.

Is there an option to fix this issue? I can't find it...

Kind regards,
Sander Gheldof

From the owners manual, v1.2, pg 49:

Height is restricted to 16 feet (5 meters) when the GPS signal is weak and Downward Vision System is activated. Height is restricted to 98 feet (30 meters) when the GPS signal is weak and Downward Vision System is inactivated.

I think you should read "when the GPS signal is weak" as when the Mavic is in ATTI-mode.Hope this helps.

Re-reading your post, it does seem odd that you can't go but half the height you should be able to go -- try turning off the Downward Vision System to see if you can go higher as stated in the manual.

better yet, throttle down.... Would kinda suck to just watch it hover there and can't connect....

In case of lost GPS it will activate RTH and you don't want it to go thru the roof

a. We're talking about when there is no GPS signal
b. either Hover or decrease thorttle/land won't have it go thru the roof. (This will force the mavic to land where ever it at, at that moment in time

Landing immediately is dangerous & unprepared.  That doesn't seem like the prudent choice here.  Hover gives you time; whereas landing RIGHT NOW could have dire consequences.  Just because it is 'inside' doesn't lessen the threat.

Second that... The issue is when RTH is forced then HOVER is the best solution to prevent a disaster.
