I'm a new user, i bought a PH4 Pro , i used this for a week with DJI GO 4 v.4.0.1 , then i update it to v 4.0.2  .
I'm using as device an nVidia K1 Shield since September 2016 with my old PH3 Pro ... then with my new drone for a week then with last upgrade of app there are problems.

The BIG problem for me is that when i'm flying , the app goes down and exit.
I need to click and re-open the app .... click GO FLY .... it open and i can continue to fly ..........
This is not normal, but i know ... so i can wait for a new upgrade next days ...... maybe ......

The BIG problem is that when i restart the DJI GO 4 , and the Phantom is flying far away from me, the HOME POINT automatic set in the point where the drone is ......

Sorry for my bad english .... i hope that you understand my app problems.
Can i put now the older version of DJI GO 4 ? .... the v.4.0.1 ?

The DJI support write to me by mail if i can send to them a video of the problem, but i can't take a video of 20-25 minutes to my tablet during the fly .... to show when the APP goes off.
Then they say to me : "In the meantime, we ask for your kind patience."

patient?!?! ... i know that for Apple was just resolve this bug ...

Same issue here with DJI Go 4 and P4P. Try Litchi if you can. I haven't had a disconnection issue since switching.

Waiting for a v 4.0.3 ....... tomorrow i try to put the older v 4.0.1 ..... with that my ph4 pro was working fine!

For now you can set your home location to point to the controller unit. This way it will comeback to where the CONTROLLER is.... I would delete the app and try INSTALLING IT again or try using a different device for now until the next F/W

Today i tried the older version of DJI GO 4 , version 4.0.1 .... and the App goes down automatically somethimes (about 4 times in 25 minutes).
The problem maybe is my Android version on the tablet.

the last time i was flying without problem it was Android 6 with DJI GO 4 v4.0.1

... if i put home point to the controller unit, i need to do this all time the dji go 4 restart ........ and if this restart 2 times or quickly and i can't set the home point dinamic? ....

...maybe is better if i don't fly again

Iam having the same issue with the k1 tab i think its a android 7 issue . i just installed the  Litch app, cheaper than buying  a apple tab. a lot of people are having this problem with the k1 and android 7.

Seems that eveyone with Shield has same issue now.

I already had enough of DJI app and it's unstable work, so I put down my bucks and bought Litchi. Now works flawless , but I miss some option from DJI like calibration and firmware upgrade option.

Sony Z5 Compact  - Android 7 - DJI GO 4 v4.0.2  ..... same problem !!!

Only my Sony Z3 Compact - Android 6 - DJI GO 4 v4.0.2 .... is working fine!

i don't like Litchi .... i'll waiting for upgrade of dji go 4 !

Same exact problem with DJI Go 4 crashing on TAB nVidia k1 Shield - Android 7.0. I did not notice if the home point changed after restarting the app but will check. Thanks for pointing that out.

Is the nVidia k1 Shield update to 7.0 Nougat a mandatory update? Or can it be avoided?

My Nvidia Shield K1 with Android 7 all time was rebooting. Then flashed again Android 6 and rooted the device. Now DJI Go 4 v 4.0.2  works perfectly.

Where did you find the info to flash and root your shield k1 ?

I thought the home point is stored in the onboard memory. Regardless of what app you're using it is the controller that tells the aircraft to come home to the location it already recorded. Am I wrong about this?

You have to download NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 Factory Image V.0.0.0 (Android 5.1.1) flash it and then (only if you want) update to Android 6 NVIDIA SHIELD Tablet K1 Factory Image V.1.5.0

nVidia support by an e-mail tell me that if i downgrade firmware my warranty will finish!

On the nVidia Shield K1 (Android 6) it says 4.03(186 gp).

I flew the P4 through 3 batteries, using the K1, latest FW on AC and RC, without issue. Ran Course Lock, Sports and ATTI modes, Waypoints, etc. Slightly windy conditions, gusts around 15mph. Up to 200 AGL.

Did not test RTH. Did not notice if Home Point changed either. Didn't even look at the Here map.

Conclusion: 4.03 works on the(this) K1(Android 6).

Sidenote: 75 minutes (three 25 minute flights) in the air, K1 ran from 86% down to 44% battery. Was slightly warm, not hot. No video artifacts. No lost signals. No tablet crashes. Smooth sailing.

Thanks for the info i downgraded to android 6 but have not had a chance to test yet.
