Do you have to re-calibrate IMU everytime you fly or only at certain points (i.e. new location, change of battery, etc)?

I read somewhere that the only time a new IMU cal was suppose to be done was,  I would do one if you just unboxed your craft and are fixing to fly for the first time. Also if you notice any drifting in GPS mode then do another IMU cal. I have almost 40 flights I've maybe done one 3-4 times. Once when first got it and once when I went to another state to fly, Once when I noticed it drifting which only happened once. Maybe 1 other time. I check my settings before every flight and if they are with in the normal parameters then I don't worry about it. Hope this helps. If you do a search you will find lots of info on here as it has been discussed to death lol. But its your craft so do what you think you need to do. Don't just take my word for it

From dealer, they said once a day fine (IMU cal).
Don't have to do BTW battery.
But you need compass cal when you change location far from previous spot.

Enjoy your bird.

This is from the P2 Assistant.
It sort of explains "Mod"...

Is it okay to do an IMU calibration in the house on a flat surface or do you have to be outside with GPS reception?   I see a lot of people doing it indoors and only warning about doing a compass calibration outside.

Thoughts?
