I am going on a trip to Kauai in March and I want to know what are some of the rules and regulations when I fly my Mavic there as well as taking my drone on the plane. I have a Mavic Pro with just the controller and battery. What should I do when travel on the plane?

Not sure about Hawaii but have been on over a half dozen flights with my Mavic and have had no issues.  Just make sure to bring the batteries in your carry-on.

I'm going to Kauai in May. I have already researched this and you're good to go. Just follow the FAA rules and pay attention to the smaller airstrips around the island. There are also some resorts where it is prohibited from flying on their property. Just check ahead of time.

Make sure you discharge your batteries to 50% and seal the bottom and bring them as carry on.

Sweet sounds good! Do you guys recommend a certain bag or carrying case for the Mavic?

Make sure you call the airports, I flew here and always called Kailus Airfield operations to let them know. They requested to stay under 200 feet one of the days.
