Hi Guys, Does anyone know why I'm not allowed to change frequency range in GO 4 app? It is stuck at 5.8/ Auto. CUSTOM button is inactive. Thanks in advance

Made a mistake, sorry. It's stuck at 2.4, not 5.8

Change the 'regional settings' of your device to USA. 'Manual' choice is not available for European users due to EU-laws. So, if you indeed do live n Russia: welcome to the EU ! :-)

Thanks. Are you sure it has nothing to do with GPS position of the drone? Have you tried it?

I'm in eu and can select between auto and custom (2.4 and 5.8)

Strange based on the info about EU laws... Have you done anything to regional settings of your mobile device? If not, I would assume it is country sensitive instead of EU at whole

I'm curious to know opinion of DJI professionals. They should know how the system works...

I think the difference between eu and us is the max power applied to the antennas (ac range) 4.3 km vs 7 kms
I use a pro plus controller and a pro controller and both work the same on frequency settings.

I know, thanks. To be more precise, FCC regulation allows higher power emission compared to the others. Operating frequency has nothing to do with power and can only create interference to surrounding devices. However, I find it strange that 5.8 range is banned in specific European countries and not across EU. On the other hand, I fly in Russia that has never been part of EU. On top of this, I'm aware of a few drone models (not DJI) operating on 5.8 range and sold in Russia.

They would not tell you since it´s against the law

I make sure mine is in the 2.4 if I fly with 5.8 the transmission signal drops pretty rapid when I get 700 mtrs away

It makes sense because the lower frequency can bypass little obstacles better than the higher one

Ok, i have the opposite problem, i m stuck on 5.8 :// (Germany)
i ve tried changing region to USA and then i can select custom, but STILL cannot change 5.8 to 2.4
checked 1 tablet and 2 cell phones...  highly annoying...

anyone else from Germany can confirm they can toggle 2.4/5.8??

seems like a HW issue... I hope it has nothing to do with position of antennas: according to the manual, antennas have to be more vertical for 5.8 band and at about 45 deg for 2.4
