New P4 battery shows no indication of powering up, been on charge for over an hour. Any ideas how to get out of hibernation mode?

Can you give us a history of the battery?  When was the last time you used it?  How did you store it?  etc.

In addition to Mark's inquiries, did it look like it was charging the whole time? Did you try turning it on while connected to the charger?

New in the box, never used. Does not turn on and no led indication

Just to clarify, nothing is lighting up when you at least press it once nor did it light up when charging? If that's the case, you may want to look into getting an exchange from your dealer.
