I thought you might like to see what the video from a $70 Hubsan X4 HD looks like. Not as steady as a Phantom but not bad. Took this day in front of my house when the wind was light.

Not bad for $70.00, still a bit jittery but seriously for $70.00, a good learner for most.

The wobble is when I cut the motors to get it back down to where I can see the orientation.  A lot of fun to play with in the house and front yard and to learn on. With the prop guards on I can't tear it up.

Thanks for sharing.  Too bad I had to take anit-nausea medicine to watch it.    Just kidding.  Great kit to practice with, though.  These are really fun in a big warehouse.

i have to say, i bought a hubsan for my wife to play around with and frankly even after tinkering with the trim for a full hour i was never satisfied with it.  i could fly it fine but there was no way she'd ever control it.  i wanted something easy for her to learn with because she is now flying my phantom on occasion and is enjoying it but still feels like she wants more practice.  frankly, the gps position hold on the phantom makes it technically a better drone for her to practice with.  i laughed and told her, maybe one day, after enough practice with the phantom, she'll be able to fly the hubsan.  LOL.  i returned the hubsan for now.

Thanks for sharing the video.  What a deal.  Possibly a disposable surveillance tool. Ha Ha, just kidding!  Just think what the possibilities would be with a mini-FPV system.

It takes a little trying to get the Hubsan calibrated but once you do it is pretty stable.

any tips beyond standard calibration procedure? I find I still can't keep it in one spot indoors. New to all this. I do have a prop guard.

If it drifts one direction, shim it with a sheet or two of paper on the side it drifts. I always use prop guards and never torn up a prop
