I need some advise. I janked off the antenna connector from the transmitter board of my FC40 controller, when opening the shell to calibrate via the micro usb inside. Tried to solder the antenna directly to the board but the range sucks. I get 300m tops.

So I would like a new transmitter board, asked DJI Support several times but never got an answer, other then "sorry we are very busy and we will answer your question soon"......

So now I'm thinking I better buy a whole new vision controller with the new features.

Question: is it possible to bind a new (latest type) Vision controller with the FC40?

Yes the new controller will work with Phantom 1 and 2.

what's the newest controller (still working with a FC40) ?

One of the new Phantom Vision + controllers with the knob in the left hand corner.
It has to be the 5.8 version. I think this is: DJI-P2VP-16

D'oh! Wish id have seen this before I placed an order for my replacement FC40 controller earlier!
