Hi,

Noting the recommended Micro SD cards for the Inspire 2 as follows:

  • Sandisk Extreme 32GB UHS-3 V30 MicroSDHC
  • Sandisk Extreme 64GB UHS-3 V30 MicroSDXC
  • Panasonic 32GB UHS-3 MicroSDHC
  • Panasonic 64GB UHS-3 MicroSDXC
  • Samsung PRO 32GB UHS-1 MicroSDHC
  • Samsung PRO 64GB UHS-3 MicroSDXC
  • Samsung PRO 128GB UHS-3 MicroSDXC

I see that a couple of these now have a "Pro" version or a "+" version and the only difference i can see is the read/write times are higher - mainly write i think. Has anyone tried the newer versions to see if they work? I need to buy a few and dont want to get the wrong ones.

I guess the other question is are they needed? My understanding is that you can only record in 264/5 at 4K so will the faster speed help at all? does increasing the FPS up from say 30 to 60 FPS have an impact at all?

Up to now i have been using my older class 1 Lexar 64GB Micro SDs (The 16GB one provided is not large enough) and they are working fine and i dont seem to loose anything but perhaps i am and dont know it?

Thanks again in advance

The H.264/H.265 stream is 100 Mb/s regardless of any other setting. I always buy the fastest card available but it is probably not necessary for the drone writing to the card. However, the higher the read speed the faster the files can be copied to your computer assuming you use a high-speed adapter (USB3/3.1). I personally use the Amazon edition of the Samsung Pro 128 GB. It's the exact same card with a little better pricing through Amazon.

If the newer versions have the same or faster read/write speeds than the ones listed, then they should be fine.

I have a Samsung MicroSDHC 32GB PRO Plus UHS-Grade U3 Class 10 and I'm not in trouble.
Furthermore, I agree with what Cobra44Magnum said about the 100 Mb/s stream.
You can find everything about speeds here...  https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Secure_Digital#Speed_class_rating.

I also have this question. I ended up getting a sandisk extreme 64 GB as recommended but was looking at a couple more expensive and larger ones but this one seems to have no issues writing

No, I purchased this sd card and it doesn’t work with the Inspire 2!! When I put it in the sd card slot the dji go 4 app immediately told me that it wouldn’t be supported!! So I wasted $73.99 from Adorama. I also have the Samsung Pro UHS III 128gb micro sd card and it works great. And you can get it from Amazon for $32.99.
It’s read/write speed is 95mbps and that’s fast enough for anything you want to do.

I use the Samsung Pro 128gb UHS-3 micro SD card and it works flawlessly for my Inspire 2. As a matter of fact I have 2 of them just in case one isn’t working properly. Great card!
