when I take off a green home point is record but it never comes back to that point, it always lands where it is.
It won't record the rth through the app yet I have gps with 9 Or 10 satellites telling me I'm good to go
How can I get it to rth. .

Assuming p3s and Android (you haven't said) check MC Settings/Advanced Settings/Others/RC lost Signal. Check
you have selected Return to Home and not Throttle Down or Hover.

If you read the RTH section of the manual, it tells you that if you initiate RTH while the Phantom is closer than 20 metres from home, it will just descend.
Are you further away than 20 metres?

He's talking about pushing the RTH button.
You are talking about Loss of Signal options.

I am talking about pushing the RTH button
I read the manual and did notice the section about the 20 meters and I took it well past that.
Could it possibly some kind of interference like electrical or mountains etc ?

No ... interference won't ever make your Phantom land.

How did you initiate RTH?
If you used an on-screen button, you may have accidentally used the autoland button?

Yes, I used the on screen landing button on the left side of the screen!

I see what you mean, I'm going to go out and check that now

I must have been hitting auto land because it jut worked perfectly when I actually did hit RTH
