Do you call your comapny "Drone" Or "UAV". I live in Canada and I am wondering what the communities opinion on witch description is most effective and professional.

UAV.... Drone has military or spy connotations. I like AVP or aerial video platform.

UAV all day long as well.

We run a drone store. There is nothing wrong or negative about that word. The only people that seem to be bothered by it are people who fly them.

I find that when I call it anything other than "drone," no one knows what I'm talking about.

Drone here. Only negative people have negative thoughts. PMA dude!

Sorry, misread your question. If you talking about customers UAV does sound a lot more professional but like Abe said, not everyone knows what UAV means.
You can call it UAV and risk not getting customers, or call it drone, people who need the services of a drone/UAV will come to you. They are not the ones with the negative thoughts.
Call it a "Drone" and say it like your proud!

My two cents worth.  

Drone, here in Germany. It's the most common name for it. Even 5 years old children point their finger to the sky and shout "look, a drone"!

I like all of your input, I have been told by some people UAV might be professional but it is a mouthful as a business title.

Im in Canada and my company name is WestCan UAV Ltd. I use both interchangably depending on whom Im talking to.  Formally I use UAV and in more general terms I will use Drone...I dont think there is that much of a negative context using Drone. I think it is a more understandable and common term for most people though.

UAV is the only way to go.
