Locations in this video: Skuta Skuta is the third-highest peak in the Kamnik Alps and is known for the Skuta Glacier, which is the easternmost glacier in the Alps. A mountain lodge, operated by the Ljubljana Matica Alpine Club, stands below Skuta. Begunjscica Begunjščica is a ridge mountain in the Karawanks. It rises from the western Smokuč mountain pasture (Slovene: Smokuška planina) to St. Anne (Sv. Ana) on its eastern side. The mountain has three main peaks, the highest being Big Peak (Veliki vrh, 2,060 metres or 6,760 feet). The western Middle Peak (Srednji vrh) lies a little lower, and the lowest is Begunje Mount Vrtača (Begunjska Vrtača, 1,997 m or 6,552 ft). Its southern slopes rise over the Draga Valley. The ascent of the mountain is relatively easy and possible throughout the year. In the winter and early spring conditions are favourable for ski touring. Kredarica The Triglav Lodge at Kredarica (Slovene: Triglavski dom na Kredarici) (2,515 metres a.s.l.) is the highest mountain hut in Slovenia and the highest meteorological station in the country. It stands on a small plateau just under the peak of Kredarica, an elevation in the ridge between Mt. Rjavina and Mt. Triglav. In the vicinity stands also a chapel dedicated to Our Lady of the Snows and a few metres away, there is a small cave named Ivačič Cave. VisevnikMt. Viševnik is probably the most visited 2000-meter peak in Slovenia. The altitude of its starting point and the simplicity of ascent are the main causes for its popularity. Plus the view is great too. The most popular path is the direct one from Rudno Polje to Viševnik, but less hikers decide to ascend aross 'Srenjski Preval' saddle. We will do a round trip and if you wish, you can make a short 'detour' in the lower section of the descent and 'loose yourself' for a moment on lonesome unmarked footpaths.
