I have seen so many posts in this forum where pilots talk about losing their drone in the ocean/lake, crashing on their 1st flight etc.. and its sad because for most of us, $1000 is not easy to come by.  There are so many factors that will result in a crash or fly-away that flying your drone without DJI Refresh or State-Farm P.A.P. is risky.

Cute but in most of the world Refresh doesn't exist and state farm certainly doesn't.

within the first few weeks it has been proven over and over.
I to have crashed within 23 days
But pilot's crash and They look for blame because they can't own up so there hast to post........
The Pilot's that have knowledge and Very few Mishaps usually don't post how there mavic is flying

There is a rare factor that you get a defective Mavic this is why the flight Log (DAT Files) come to play..
DJI want to see these files and if they find you have a defective mavic they will let you know
or you could pay a third party $89 and they will give you an estimate how much cost will be after crash

you want to pay SF or another insurance Co to take your $60 a month after 14 mos you could replace your mavic
Best insurance is Knowledge read the manual do some research about other mavic Politsa and how they  set up there mavic controls and Failsafe parameters

It is $60.00 a year

When i bought my drone from an official dji agent in Cape Town i asked for the care refresh - they told me it was not available in South Africa.
I do not understand this - why can pilots get it in some places on earth but not others.
Surely it is not due to some irrational prejudice - therefore i expect there must be some valid reason and i would really like to know from dji why this is the case.
also i cannot find an insurance provider

Sorry man CA and MA are the only 2 state that wont write these policies. Not sure why you Cali guys can't have these policies since State Farm does everything else in your State.

Unfortunately I'm not licensed in NV. Check this link and call your local agent. Tell them your looking for a personal articles policy to cover a drone. If they don't know what you mean by that try another agent. https://www.statefarm.com/agent/

Not an insurance salesman, just putting it out there for people who may not know.  All I care about is that MY $1200 is covered just in case something unfortunate happens.

$60 bucks a year, knowledge will not protect you from theft, a bird strike, better safe than sorry.
