Hey,

looking for any recommendations on drying my Phantom 3 after being submerged a bit in a pool. Any recommendations would be highly appreciated! Was hoping to use the P3 for a shoot tomorrow. The P3 was in the pool fully submerged for about 30secs. Pulled the battery as soon as it was recovered out of the pool and haven't tried to power it up yet. DJI Live support told me to get in touch with US support asap - just worried I won't have the patience to wait till Monday to try out if the bird is fine or not...

Got this from the newbie thread:

6.   If you dunk your V+ in sea water throw it away. Little apart from the plastic is worth saving.

7.   If you dunk your V+ in fresh water, get it out as quickly as possible and take it apart. Use a hair drier liberally and then put everything in a sealed container and cover it in uncooked rice. Leave it there for three or four days before attempting to turn it back on.

Hope it works for you.

The rice technic could save you, i saved a few electronics, including the camera of an inspire 1 that landed in salt water, you have to be patient, and last at least 4 or 5 days. Do not use that hair drier as the heat could damage some circuits...

Good luck, i hope you could fly soon!!!

Be patient.

If you turn it on early, might as well throw it in the bin. That's my experience with soaked electronics.

One of my DJIs (a Phantom 2) was at the bottom of a fresh water river for an hour.  I took the cover off, put in front of a fan for two days, and it worked. Crazy and unexpected, but I'm grateful.

Hello, DJI support is really crap, they said its scrap now. I really hope I can recover mine.

When I took it out of the water, I saw a pink liquid coming out. Do you have any idea where this pink liquid could come from and what it is for?
I saw traces of it around the camera.

remove top, immediately rinse with distilled water, use hair dryer…..look for a company closest to you that manufactures vacuum deposition films or sputtering and inquire if they would be willing to put it in the chamber over night when it's idle.
