Got mine today and was super diappointed to see a small black scrape on the battery door.  How do I verify it wasn't used?  And opinions on whether I should return it VS request a small discount?

It probably wasn't used if you bought it directly from DJI. It probably got damaged during transit.

It also depends on how bad it looks. I don't think it really matters unless you are going for a perfect-looking drone.

This is how it came in the box.  I reported the issue to the seller and received a small discount.  I tried to remove the marks with rubbing alcohol and it didn't work.  Then I tried a pencil eraser and it did the trick.

Not likely used as the Mini 2 was only been released 2 weeks ago, enjoy your new drone!

I see you complained and got a discount, then managed to clean off the mark. I'd say you're a winner in that situation. Go ahead and enjoy what you bought.

Looking at that small mark I kind of think there are more important things in life to worry about
This sort of attitude is why companies have to spend so much and waste so much of the worlds on rescources on packaging
