Hi there...


i have a problem upgrading my rc to newest version..
it has not been out of its box since i bought it and its now a little bit over a year old.. and it wont update to the newest firmware or do anything...


Does anyone know where to find old firmware versions so i can try to update it one version at a time to see if that will solve it..

i dont know what version it is currently on as the dji go app will not connect to it because the rc is before it was called "DJI GO"

Hope any one knows a solution..

The upgrades are enumerated in the release notes here:
Inspire Release Notes

The RC upgrades were included with the aircraft firmware up through v1.3.0.00. That's why this firmware is still available on the Downloads page.

You should be able to upgrade to this version without stepping through the earlier versions.

After 1.3.0.00, the aircraft firmware no longer includes the RC firmware as it is updated via the GO app after 1.3.0.00...

Ok, but i have tried updating my rc with 1.3.0.00 and it does not beep, give an output to th usb flash drive or anything else..

Make sure the bin is extracted to the root and usb drive is formatted in fat32

You must be using the correct 1.3 file did you use the 1.3 file with the C1 in front of it ?  This is the file you must get to before youc an use go app.

Here, try mine, it is for RC only. Let me know if it works, respond to me in the Reply please.

The USB is fat32, and i extract directly to the usb drive with the file you provided.. and it still just lights red and nothing happens... :-(

And also the RC is more than a year old and has not been used before now.. and it has never been linked to any AC... Is there some FW Version i need to go to before i can go to 1.3?

Are  you using a Mac by any chance ?  These are notorious for not formatting the SD card correctly.  If you do own a MAC device my best advise is to format on the SD card on a PC and then load my file, it should work .
To answer you question , this is the file 1.3 you need before you can update using the go app and do future updates to the RC, we must get this to work.  

You have the A model RC transmitter correct ?

I could not open that  link ( Or get the file )  Terry, I was going to save the file.  Just a FYI my man.

Sorry for not getting back on this... Totally forgot..


But I send it in to DJI for repair, and they did infact find a broken board inside..(which explains why it would not download any firmware from either usb or sd) And replaced the whole unit :-)
