Has anyone had issues with their gimbal after update, mine was working fine but after I did the update it will not respond in Follow or FPV mode.
It won't even calibrate. In the advance settings the gimbal speed is zero for all and when I change one config it sets the same for all three but still won't work.
Haven't tried resetting yet as I thought there may be something I'm missing.

Downgrade then upgrade and see it makes a difference. If not os factory reset and try again!

Could you please clarify which Phantom model you have?
Will the gimbal do the calibration automatically after powering on?

It's workin now.
I have a phantom 4, yes it did the calibration after powering on.  I could still take photo's n video but that's all. It has the latest firmware but in the DJI assist app it still had update next to the current firmware so I tried updating anyway but it wouldn't. That's something you need to fix with your program, you can't update an update that is upto date. But after all that it started working again.
So to recap, 1. I updated app on my iPad n couldn't move camera.
2. I connected drone to DJI assist n it wanted to update Current firmware but wouldn't.
3. After failed update of current firmware I restarted drone and it decided to start working again.
Go figure.

Solved!!! I was using a different memory card, I just tried that memory card and the camera stopped working, as soon as I switched back to the original card it started working again.
