Hi Everyone,

after some days of testing, I found out why the app keeps crashing. Hope it helps.

First of all, my set up is:
Mavic + Controller: 01.03.0800
Smartphone: Xperia Z5 Compact E5823
OS: 6.0.1
App version: 4.1.0 (Yes I know there is a 4.1.2 version out since 16/06)

The app DO NOT CRASH up until the Mavic fixes GPS signal. As soon as the Mavic acquires >7 satellites and fixes the GPS position, the app crashes and keeps rebooting.
In fact, I have been able to fly flawlessly the Maivc indoor but as soon as I move outdoor and get the "green" light... nothing works any more.

As of today I am happily flying with the aforementioned setup and APP version: 4.0.5
To be honest, it looks like the new No Fly Zone enforcement screwed everything up.

Not having this issue on a S7. Uninstall, cleanup folder, reinstall, try again.

I only fly with fixed GPS signal, and can not confirm this type of crash on my Xperia Z5 Compact E5823. But my DJI GO 4 app (OS: 7.0, Mavic + Controller: 01.03.0800, App version: 4.1.0) crashes randomly in flight (minutes after the GPS fix was established). Haven't tested 4.1.2 yet...

I am on 01.03.700 and app V 4.1.0 and my app crashes EVERY TIME as soon as I hit the RECORD button on the RC or the screen.  Very frustrating.

Had a similar issue when I would hit "stop" on the recording. Uninstalling, deleting all the DJI folders and re-install fixed the issue.

Downgrade to app version 4.0.5, you can find it online. No problem at all.

Will keep trying the newer versions as soon as they are released. If they do not crash, I keep them, otherwise I always know I have a 100% working backup solution.

Where do you download 4.0.5 for Android?

Oh, also if you downgrade to 4.0.5 do you have to change the Mavic's firmware?

Im very happy today. After upgrade The App,no more crash until now.3 battery already used with Facebook streaming and no crash.

Delete The App you Have, eras all folder related with app. Searsh in google for download dji go app 4.0.x download and install

no need to change Mavic Firmware.

Regarding the app, just use Google and search for DJO GO 4 4.0.5

Great finding about the GPS: I have exactly the same behavior. DJI GO 4 never crashed when I test in my office but when I move outdoors it crashes: I never thought about the GPS! But after your message I tested moving from indoors to outdoors and as soon as it locks on the GPS it crashes.
Bad news: this also happens after I upgraded to 4.1.2.

yes, app is 4.1.2 and MP in 0400 using OnePlus3T and back USB port. Today i wil ltest with the other port.

Today I flew with DJI Go 4.0.5 and there were NO crashes over 3 batteries. So I'm staying with this option until the GPS problem has been fixed.By the way: I'm using Redmi Note PRo 3, Android 6.01

as reported also by Floco here in this thread, app 4.1.2 is not working for me either.

Same behaviour: crashes as soon as GPS signal is fixed :-(

None, as I never had any issue with it. But if you check the filesystem you´ll find I think two different paths where the app stores information that I think remain when uninstalled. Best thing I guess would be to connect the phone to your computer and search for DJI.

I had the same problem. I fixed it after downgrade to DJI GO 4.0.5. Now it seems perfect. Thank you FPC.
