When I was taking a footage with my Mavic flying backward and unfortunately did not realize that it had crash into a bush at a mid hill. Because I have to catch my flight and have to leave my mavic there exposing to different weather for at least 2 months before I can return to retrieve it. Rest assure of myself that the crashing point is not easily accessible to anyone without purposes.

The question lingered on my mind is whether the mavic can survive for such a long time outside exposing to different weather in Okinawa, Japan, where it is a raining season now. Should I give up the idea of retrieving it and starting saving for a new one?

probably not. it is not impossible, but rather unlikely that it will survive.

Do you have Care Refresh?

Assuming you do get to recover it, it should be covered.

I would guess, unless its a very stable dry weather environment it doesnt have a hope of surviving

Pay someone to go get it for you if you don't know anyone who will do it for free.

I suppose your assumption is reasonable. A youtube experience has lighted my hope:

I have the DJI Care but was told that I have to return the "Corpse" for either repair or replacement. DJI don't care!

You need to read the terms  & conditions, it clearly says you need to recover the drone.
