I lost my drone last week, P4P, in a tree.  went to get a tree climber, and someone got it before i could get back.  Any ideas on getting just the drone, or is it not available anywhere?  I still have the plus controller.  

No idea where you live but I would report it to the police. The drones have a serial number so can be tracked down.  
Could have been turned into the police?

Sorry to hear this, I hope you get it back.  Is a P4 not locked to your account? Can someone else use it without having your password etc?  Just wondering, as a reward would then be more tempting to the finder

Don't imagine you would get much of a price for + controller.

Try eBay. I don't think you will find a P4P though due to it being so new. Give DJI a shot as well.

I would post a sign near the tree, usually people will go back to the scene of the "Incident "  , offer a reward .  did you happen to have your Name and Phone number on it ?  Also did you look on the ground all around the tree to see if it just fell out.

Check local paper for Lost and found as well .

sometimes a big reward can lure the *bird catcher* back to hand it over and get the reward to spend it peacefully rather to get arrested for illegal possession of other properties for sale

Also possible that it came down from the tree itself, and someone happened along to find a drone laying on the ground.

Wish DJI would let you kill the bird like Apple does.

Now that would be a locking function that finally makes sense. Unlike the 30m restriction for NFZ registration. Any plans in this direction, DJI?

Should be simple since you need to log in to use the bird.

Yes, there is, but it relies upon the aircraft being switched on and in range of the transmitter. Not a lot of chance of lining up those items.
