What I do is fly the battery until only the two lights are lit, then land and change batteries. I do this with all batteries (I have 4).
Then when I get home I hook the bird up to the Mac and turn failsafe and rth off and manual on and set the altitudes at like 10 feet. Then I go in my driveway and in manual, hover the bird about three feet off the ground until @8%.
If I want to discharge a battery faster, I leave the bird set as I do for flying and put it under straps and just fly the battery to where it needs to be.
I hope this helps, but remember, this is what I do. I am sure others have different methods.
