im on the 900 firmware, i have had zero problems.. can i just stay on this or do i need to update ,pros/cons?  im just afraid reading the update horror stories..thanks for any insight you may have..

It's a bit like art... some like the latest... some don't, I have been up and down firmwares a LOT in the past few months on iOS, but the latest realease is REALLY good for me, super smooth and no issues at all with any features, range is superb.

If you're fine on the current app/firmware set up you're on, then you can stay on that combination. If you are getting issues or want the features that the current firmware/software provide, then you should update.

yeah its flying great on 900 ,do not want to get quiet propellers . range is fine height is good... forget the bs from the apple app that says update firmware.. so far so gooood! so what ... lov meagadeth,lol

Hi I was on .900 with no probs the Mavic was magic,i had minor accident I sent Mavic away to get fixed I choze not to use my DJI Care Refresh but paid for the repair  but when i got it back for what ever reason Repair updated my Fware to not the latest Fware but 3.0000..i was going to hold off updating cause of issues I seen in the forums but also wanted to try new props so since they already messed with the update I updated to latest Fware and GO4 App and been having all sorts of problems with strange behaviour ..laggy app laggy controls and loss of controls ..app crashes...which scares me..so im working with admins atm to try n figure this out.I wish they never messed with the Fware just done what I paid repair for, the Mavic was great  under .900 so its up to u.

recently i updated from .400 to latest firmware after stay for a long time.. no problem at all

i should also mention im running GO4 app on android galaxy s8+
