hello, i have issues with the camera. it seems the hardware is working fine from outside, the issue is when i press record it records for couple seconds and then it stops and the camera button stays spining. this came out after a crash where the gray cable ripped, i have replaced that cable already and still the same, before the camera didnt want to work.

What sd card are you using?

Copy all the files you want to keep off the SD card in the aircraft, then format the card in the aircraft. It should work then.

Is it a Sandisk Extreme Ultra or a Sandisk Ultra. The plain Ultra version is not fast enough.

Well your card should be fine
I think you may need to talk to tech support

I would test with a sandisk extreme, the ultra is not fast enough for 4K

Before buying a card ... reduce your video to 1080 format or less and try again.... if it records correctly - then its the card is not good enough at higher res...

If it still fails to keep recording - then you still have a camera fault.

There's no need to format the card before the above test.

before i couldn't select anything on the camera, it would not respond. now after replaced the cable and formatted the sd card it work fine the first test flight. i will continue testing. i have used the same sd card since i bought it and never had any problems until the crash.

Ok, Im confused, although I am getting old. The original OP never stated he was filmingin 4K was he? And MrBaron08??? Not clear that he comes in.

Your right the P3S doesn’t do 4K but the SD card is the best place to start and the cheapest thing to swap out to eliminate things. Cards go bad all the time, sometimes a format puts them back on track but not always. That’s why I always carry multiple cards.

Phantom aircraft record lots of hidden files in hidden folders or directories. When you delete the video or photo files you don't want, those hidden files are still there. After a while they begin to choke the card, the files slow down access to the card, so the best course of action is to format the card, this cleans it up completely and it should be OK after that.

thank you for your answers, Mrbaron08 and OP are the same, for some reason the username used to change to some random one until i set mrbaron08. i formated the card and seems to fix the problem.
