Hi

I just unboxed my V2+ - charged all batteries - downloaded windows software, installed drivers, connected up, did the Firmware Upgrade all as per the manual.

Next step is page 115 2.3 in the 1.4 Manual - I am having trouble connecting through the Phantom RC Assistant to configure the Remote Control - followed all the steps - switched on the Remote, the PC, hooked the two up using the cable and launched the Phantom RC Assisitant Software. The loading screen comes up - the red bar starts off at pretty much two thirds (ie below the second w on the www.dji.com) and doesn't move at all beyond that point. Kept it on for maybe 45 mins... If I press the SKIP button then the program launches but all boxes show either nothing or 100%

Sure I've stupidly missed some simple step - can anyone advise what I should do please

TIA

Tilak - total newbie ;)

That's not a loading bar.
It's just a decorative line...
Click on Skip and move on into the Assistant.
Then:
Power Range Extender, Power Tx, Power P2, wait untill rapid green LED flashes occur, connect USB to P2

The values in the boxes will be zero or 100% if there is no connection between the P2 and the PC.
Try connecting again by removing and re-connecting the usb cable.
The blue light (bottom left) will be flickering when you have a connection.

Hi TJ - thanks again - did everything you said and did the calibration.

Question - the manual talks of connecting the PC to the Remote Control - BUT - I didn't do that and followed your advise and connected to the P2.

I moved the joysticks while the PC was connected to the P2 and it all seemed to work. SO when do I use the mini USB port on the Remote?

TIA

Hi TJ - thanks again - did everything you said and did the calibration.

Question - the manual tal ...

The USB port on the Tx is primarily for firmware updates.
It's possible that the potentiometers on the Tx could eventually need a calibration, but out of the box you should be good to go.
Don't worry about connecting the Tx to Assistant unless things really get wonky...
Wonky = not recognizing CSC or something like that...
