Ok getting sick of this thing never completing an update with success.... :@ Fresh download, Different SD card's Pleanty of power
Controler Off This that and the other! Yet...
the usual DDDD for a while about 15mins Then instantly into that dot matrix printer noise Result's Failed!!
What dose it take for a successful update?

Updates are a problem here too!

First time through with Inspire it beeped for about 45 minutes, then went silent and red. The SD card showed no new file was created showing me update status, but resetting the bird just put it into an error cycle. I was able to run the update again, this time it ran for about 30 minutes of horrible beeping, followed by a red light. I turned it off and checked the card and the file showing a success was there. Surprise surprise!

On to the remotes!
First 10+ tries on each remote yielded no results. For each controller, I had to format the card and reset the controller over 10 times (second controller felt like more than 20) before it finally would go into update mode and pull in the new file. Why did it require so many attempts? Is there a way to force the update when the controller is unable to recognize the new firmware?

Pretty pitiful, but I don't think any of us expect much more coming from DJI these days.

BTW, everything is finally updated, although I want to shoot myself from all the beeping I've heard through the morning. I'll take her for a flight later today to see how it goes.

you will have to scroll down to the area where we discuss my update log. May need a custom update file, that's what fixed mine.

[17 -0x] is the vision system. may have issues going into travel mode and will not get accurate height readings, Also wont stay level. I recommend not to fly until you get Vision firmware updated.

I'm currently installing the update and just got a quick DDDD then nothing. Thats been 30 mins now so not looking good :@

My update just went perfectly!!! I dont understand why so many have problems!!!!

Updated Inspire 1, remote, TB 47 & TB 48

No problems.

This time I
1, Switched off McAfee antivirus
2, Downloaded Firmware again
3, Reformatted the SD card again
4, Made a separate folder on the desktop and placed the downloaded folder in that.
5, Unzipped the downloaded file into that folder then copied just the WM610_FW_V01.02.01.03 Vitual CloneDrive file to the SD card.
6, Installed SD card into Inspire camera and powered up.

Now looking good so far as I got the camera dance and getting the DDDD DDDD DDDD so fingers crossed, looking good with the flashing yellow, long pausing Red and flashing yellow.

I went and sifted through that post you told me about Found the file you were sent for the Sensor's only
By DJI-Autunm ...
But....NO LUCK
The diff is mine has always had the sonic putting sound but the same symptoms.
I have mentioned this before a few updates back but no help

This is strange and I also believe that one of the earlier updates done this because all was fine then.

This is total BS It's still under warranty Dose 98% of what it's supposed to do Paid good money for it and all.
There's no way I'll be sending this of either like many have said So DJI should really do a refund due to faults caused by their broken Update system
or Faulty equipment not working as it should.
I'm bound to get :@ for saying this but hey It's not a toy If it were a toy it would not be so bad. It is supposed to be an over AU$5K  reliable UAV.

I did not give you the link to try and install the firmware they gave me for the vision only... its for the last firmware, so it should not work. My intent was so you can see what happened to me and how it got resolved. I hope things did not get any worse by trying to load that file. I would get in touch with DJI_Autumn. Thats how I got my custom firmware file.

Worked on all items without an issue.  I'm running a MacBook Pro 15" Retina, SanDisk 32GB micro SD's Extreme Pro.  I use a USB 3 card reader then plug the SD directly into the camera.  On the remotes I use the same USB card reader.  Went without an issues with aircraft, 2- remotes and 5 batteries.

Now FlyAway issue using auto take off is completely another issue. UGH!!! that was with the old firmware last week.

I just got everything updated with the latest firmware and everything went well, I just did and Imu calibration, then I also calibrated the compass,I was just about the lift off when I noticed that the radio quality went from good to poor then I got a disconnect. I've been flying this inspire now for about four months and it's been awesome, absolutely no issues whatsoever until today. One very odd thing is that the indicator at the top of the app that indicates level of the radio signal, not the video signal indicator, but the radio signal indicator is showing full bars but I'm still getting getting good to poor messages and then all of a sudden it will disconnect and then reconnect.  I thought I would mention one more thing, after loading the updates on the inspire 1 and the RC controller I was in the app looking around and all of a sudden it crashed the iPad totally rebooted it. The ipad that I'm using is the latest air with 128 gigs  with the cellular radio in it.  It hasn't crashed since it rebooted.

At this point I  guess I'm going to have stopt flying until I can get some more information about what's happening, just a little unnerving.
I guess I'll try and call DJI or get on the chat and see if maybe they have any ideas.  Fingers and toes crossed
