Hey guys,

Not sure if there is a thread for this already, but just wondering what the highest altitude everyone has flown is. What's the highest people have recorded on their DJI app? I know law states that you should be within 400ft, but just wondering how high everyone has taken it, and how high it could technically go before loosing connection with the remote.

The built in governor only allows up to 500 meters.

That's awesome! Could you still see the craft at 1600 ft?

According to the rules in Sweden ... 120meters ... and even on this altitude I had a close encounter with three fighter jets ... so I won´t be taking any chanses on going any higher !

How did you get permission from Air Traffic Control Service to do this? Of course you will have done this because to just fly to 1600 feet would be highly irresponsible and would place our interest at risk of being banned!

I am curious to see how the ground will look like from 500m altitude.. But for the time being I am not flying over 120m..

I did once just to try how hight it could go, when it hits 1600 ft, the signal still strong, I know it could be higher, but I did not want to risk more, so only once...

Does it matter where he was flying? Are you telling me that it is legal to fly at 1600 feet in the UK or Canada?????

Technically it could go as high as it can go sideways.. although the air gets thinner and motors need to work harder for the same thrust.. i have flown sideways upto 4km ..over water you could go farther sideways...Going up we are limited by man made laws in our respective countries..You are in Canada ...... so Transport Canada "suggests" for hobbyist not to go over 400 feet..most photographic projects do not require any higher altitudes.. I wonder how high you are allowed to go in a balloon as a hobbyist in Canada! I know of two  high school student from Toronto who flew with a camera to 25 KM high on a balloon...none of them were charged
