picked up a phantom 3 adv that suffered a crash due to user error for $100 ( 2 batts and backpack  included as well as the gimbal), spent 2 days working on her to bring her back to life, after going through several issues ( such as no gps, no rc connections, damaged gimbal, bad vps , imu error and compass errors and reshelling) around 5:34pm central she came alive and sang her start up tune and connected flawlessly, took her out for a 5 min flight and she took off and flew beautifully. Very happy camper now that my project is complete. Total cost including the parts and drone itself : $203.50 and i have a brand new drone ready to take on adventures with

I would be cautious for the first few flights tho untill you are sure everything is working perfectly.

definately will be , i think the first  5 flights my max distance will e less then 800ft just till everything settles, once im confident ill slowly increase distance

With those skills you shouldn't worry about crashing.

Thanks lol, i learned so much about my phantoms internals from this build, most importantly to take time on the sensitive parts

took a little test while the sunset while it was out, 30 mins after landing rain came pretty hard ( this was at 240ft, clouds were pretty low since storm was coming)

     Congratulations!  Nice shot!  Looks like it is all coming together.  Nothing more rewarding than taking it apart and putting it back together again - and it works!
