Hi,

I've looked through the threads and haven't seen this issue before. When I try to update my new Mavic Pro 2 I keep getting an error message.

I noticed a few people on other blogs had the same issue and have recommended using assisatant 2 but I'm still getting the error message below: Screen Shot 2018-09-08 at 16.30.17.png

Any idea what I can do to update? this update has the Hyperlapse feature on it

After changing the USB port on my computer from USB3 to USB2

Has anybody found an alternative to fixing this? I'm having the same problem and don't have the computer skills to switch usb ports

I've noy been able to update it and have tried all of the reccomendations ive seen on other posts

Great news mate. Unfortunately I cant change my usb port. I'll keep trying and hope that DJI work on a fix as ive found that many have the same problem

I would try to do a factory reset of the drone , with Assistant 2 and then try to update the firmware again. If it keeps happening try to update using your phone connected to LTE, I had the same issue with my mavic pro almost 2 years ago and the LTE method fixed it for me. Also make sure you all are using DJI Assistant 2 version 2.0.0 https://www.dji.com/mavic-2/info#downloads

How do you factory reset the Mavic 2 Pro? I cant seem to find it in the manual or online?

The screen on assistant 2 where the available firmwares appear , at the bottom on a blue tab it says restore factory defaults , your aircraft has to be of course connected to the pc and on for you to be able to see this.

Hi, I just want to make sure that you are not using the old DJI Assistant 2. Please download the software from this link: https://www.dji.com/mavic-2/info#downloads. Kindly connect your drone to your computer and open the Assistant 2. Go to the firmware update. On that page, you will see the Restore factory default on the button part and kindly click that. Once done, please refresh your firmware that is located on the right side. For reference, please see the attached image below. Thank you.

Ive managed to update it now. I deleted the assistant 2 and re-installed it. It worked first time!
