THe Mavic Air had A LOT of short comings. I bought one and then sold it. The wifi connection, range, battery life, camera, noise were all problems. The form factor though was not one of them. In fact, the form factor of the Mavic Air is the best that DJI has produced.

Question for the forum. Was it a mistake to completely abandon the Mavic Air form factor in Mavic Air 2???

I agree design finish and form factor was excellent and as far as prosumer drones it’s certainly the prettiest.
But I can see how dji want to align all mavics the same and to have them recognized as mavics , all of them now look like orignal Mavic, just as phantoms and inspires do, so I don’t think it was a mistake it was probably opposite.

I’m just sorry they didn’t make mavic2 in the style and form factor as the Mavic Air1.
