I can't seem to find the answer anywhere. I can see speed comparison in sports mode but not in normal mode. The old Mavic Air was faster than the Mavic 2 Pro in Sport mode but significantly than the Mavic 2 Pro in normal mode with Obstacle Avoidance on.

The Max Horizontal Flight Speed of Mavic Air 2 is 12 m/s in Normal Mode.  
For Mavic 2, the Max Horizontal Flight Speed is 14m/s forward and 12m/s backward when obstacle avoidance is enabled; 14m/s forward and backward when obstacle avoidance is disabled.

The max effective obstacle avoidance speed of Mavic Air 2 is 8m/s, if you fly too fast, the performance of obstacle avoidance may get affected.

So 26 mph for normal.... what about if the sensors are off...

I believe normal in the M2 series is roughly 30mph

With sensors on or off I’ve hit 26.9mph with minimal wind in normal mode.  Seems odd they’d be the same.

Based on my flying all three drones quite extensively the old Mavic Air topped out at around 43MPH in Sport mode and cruised at 19MPH in P-mode. The M2P tops out at around 46MPH in Sport mode and cruises at 31MPH in P-mode.

The MA2 cruises at around 26/27MPH in N-mode.

The MA2 is about 5MPH slower than the M2P but 8MPH faster than the MA1 in normal/position mode.

These are the typical averages I experienced when flying all three drones with OA and APAS disabled, flying in a light to moderate breeze.

The MA2 will auto disable OA to assist in maintaining it's current speed in heavier winds.
