I am pretty sure MA (the 1st) will no more receive updates.

It is a terrific drone, but there are still some issues (firmware related) and I am pretty sure the hadware is capable of lot more then DJI allow us to do.

Would be great to DJI open source the Firmware so 3rd party devs could tweak it and even sell.

But i think it´s not gonna happen.

Drones are a bit like cars,  you buy a car with a set of features and its extremely rare for the manufacturer to add more features after you've got it.

It would be very good. but I doubt DJI will make it open source.

Same feeling... DJI won't/can't opensource the MA code as:
- it should reveal the common trunk of all the devices,
- It could lead to a potential security flaw,
- It could open the way to some hacks around NFZ,etc..
- It could show some unwanted coding "gems" like dirty workaround
- It could show not so respectful licensed code (maybe)

In few words...i don't think so as it is a commercial product ;)

But the product is still available on the DJI's official online store, DJI will continue to provide after-sales service and updates for it . Thank you for your understanding and support.
