The pole stays out the way and does not interfere with the operation of the gimbal.
The light helps me when I'm shooting in dark places.
The mounting plate required drilling and tapping a new hole to shift the balance to the left when the device is sat down.
I have 4 of these. I am replacing the hotshoe connector by drilling a hole to hold a screw into the bottom of the pole. I have learned that the fewer the number of parts, the less likely someone comes loose. Which does happen during the day.
I want DJI to pay attention and create their own more professional version.
The LUME cube is great as it does not weigh much. But overheats quickly. The light needs to be turned off when not shooting.

Can you share some video with the light on and off?
I'm curious how it looks (not the device, but the end result of the video you shoot with it)

I shot 200 videos a week ago, but they won't be on my channel for a week or so.
This is raw unedited video. You can see that the light is used just to fill in dark shadows. We shoot thousands of these videos with a setup that is simple as possible.
The cable attched to the phone CAN interfer with the balance, but for our purposes, its not a problem. It can be pulled off quickly, as the connector is magnetic.
