Today I lost my P3a
Got lost signal after 4:20 min flight and 400 meters from me at 31 meter high.
Flight log attached, any idea what cause that?
I was with 70% battery and with latest firmware.


DJI support can help me?

What FW did you have on the P3 at the time?

Another firmware fly away.

No home point set? If all was properly set before launch, it should have returned home if signal is lost

possible battery come out or failure, been reposts of people finding they have not put the pack in and checked its clicked into place.

There has been several water crashes, or crashes around water,  no apparent reason, kind of odd,

you flying over water? You are gutsier than me!

Upload the log file from the pilot app so we can replay your last flight on our apps...  Maybe I can tell you what happend

Why does it show a 1440 meter flight if it was 400 meters away? Did it come part way back?

Sorry you lost your machine. The P3 is quite reliable for a low cost consumer drone, but still many pilots (myself included) do not undertake long missions over water. There are many reasons a drone can fail.

Was the machine in your sight when you lost it?

No type of tracker is going to work if the Phantom is in the drink! The Phantom's built-in GPS should show where it went down (where it was last seen).

DJI can read the logs and see what happened. My guess is that a CSC was entered or the battery was not pushed in.....but that's just using the %%% odds to make a guess.

1440 meters is the flight odometer, drone flyers, in my honest opinion if you didn't know that your another person in the world that shouldn't own a copter, it even says flight distance right next to the numbers!  im not saying anything more because i try to be a humble man

It looks to me   That you temporarily  lost gps signal during your flight and regained it right after landing..  It shows your p3 landed at its home point, see the red arrow? That's your phantom..  And I'm pretty sure if the phantom just went off during mid flight all the values would freeze at what ever they were, so the 0 altitude 0 meters distance, with the red arrow at the home point, shows your phantoms location being at the home point..  You really need to give us that log in the pilot apps log folder for that flight

I would expect that is indeed his phantom but at the start of the flight, before he pushes "play" on the flight recording. I'm im not saying anything more because i try to be a humble man...

The p3 didn't return home, it's just the starting point on the map.
The flight was 1400 meter, the distance from me was 800 and 400 and then I got no signal.

in this map we only see the start point, its just pring screent from the DJI app, if i click play in the app i see the phantom fly rout until the end ((( when i lost connection with NO SIGNAL alert on my ipad air 2 screen.

Connect the iOS device to your computer and open iTunes, then scroll down to the pilot app and click on it, then all the files stored on the iOS device for the pilot app will be shown, all your video cache so video of your flights and last flight will be there and also all the log files from all of your flights, last flight also, then you click save and a progress bar at the top of iTunes shows the file copy progress, once done go to where it saved on your computer and upload the flight log to this thread and upload the video to YouTube or someplace and post the link in this thread..  Then we can all see your last video and replay your flight log

In the original photo, what is the white track that seems to travel alongb the road for a distance then out over water, does a loop then heads for home point?

This is my worst nightmare. Anyone got a suggestion for a cheap and lightweight gps-tracker. I mean, the phantom has gps, but if the battery falls out or whatever makes the onboard gps not work, it might be worth having a backup. What is the max weight that can be attached, if one is buying a small tracker?

Doesn't the sticks show he did a CSC? (Although it seems to go out of control before those movements are made) Does up and out work the same as down and in?
